The EC-funded MoveS network (Free Movement and Social Security Coordination) organised a seminar in St Paul’s Bay (Malta) on 6 November 2019.

The seminar was organised by MoveS in collaboration with its Maltese national expert, Karen Farrugia. MoveS is an EC-funded network of independent experts from 32 European countries coordinated by Eftheia and Deloitte.

The seminar focused on applicable legislation and posting of workers from a social security perspective. The following topics have been addressed:

• Recent Developments at EU level on social security coordination and free movement of workers; A1 documents – Rights and obligations;
• Determination of the Applicable Legislation and issuance of A1 documents - The Maltese practice;
• Posting of Workers Rights and Labour Law – Legal Perspective; Posting of Workers from a Maltese Labour Law perspective.
