Join the EaSI Technical Assistance webinar on financial inclusion of traveller communities

The European Union is offering a webinar for microfinance institutions (MFI) interested in different approaches they can adopt to better meet the financial needs of Roma and traveller populations. The webinar will take place on 9 April.

This session will capture lessons learnt from the initiatives of two different organisations who have worked with traveller populations:

  • Adie’s efforts to adapt its credit and social methodologies to the needs of the traveller community in France and
  • REDI’s experience on economic development of Roma entrepreneurs in Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

A special focus will be placed on the measures they are setting up to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic, which will have particularly challenging impact on more vulnerable groups, such as traveller communities.

The content has been tailored to the needs of microfinance institutions and will offer practical solutions, which can be easily implemented in everyday practises.

  • Topic: Supporting actions for Roma and traveller populations
  • Date: Thursday, 9 April 2020 at 11:00 – 12:00 (CEST)
  • Language: English
  • Registrationhere

The speakers, Mr. François Chamosset from Adie and Mr. Petrica Dulgheru from REDI Economic Development S. A., will deliver an interactive online session with plenty of opportunities for engagement through polls and live questions.

  • François Chamosset is a Senior Loan Officer at Adie France and is passionate about local economic development through helping entrepreneurs with training, business development services and B2B networking to support small enterprises.
  • Petrica Dulgheru is serving on the Advisory Board of the Roma Entrepreneurship Development Initiative (REDI), which has a main goal to provide affordable funding and business development services to entrepreneurs operating in Roma communities in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. He is also the founder of several other non-governmental organisations promoting employment and entrepreneurship in Roma communities.

The webinar is financed under the EU programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) and attendance is free of charge.
