Tired of standing in queues at your local city hall to pay charges and taxes? A new EU-funded e-payment scheme may make that a thing of the past. Implemented in the Polish city of Olsztyn, citizens can now make all tax declarations and waste payment charges online, among a range of other tasks.
plJewish communities have lived on the borderlands of Poland, Belarus and the Ukraine for centuries. To promote this Jewish heritage and increase visitor numbers to these areas, cultural tourist routes which pass through 60 villages have been created.
plTwo sections of the Czech Republic’s I/11 road between the villages of Nebory, Oldřichovice and Bystřice have been relocated. The road is located in the Moravian-Silesian region, close to the town of Trinec and the Polish and Slovak borders. Phase one of the project was supported by EU funding under the 2007-2013 programming period.
