In the 2022 Communication "Putting people first, securing sustainable and inclusive growth, unlocking the potential of the EU’s outermost regions” (COM (2022) 198 final), the European Commission committed to rolling out an on-demand advisory tool to help outermost regions shape their regional development plans; reforms and investment agendas; enable synergies between opportunities under EU funds and programmes ; and improve their administrative capacity. With this advisory tool, public and private organisations such as regional authorities and economic operators -including in particular SMEs- based in the outermost regions can request individualised, tailored advisory services with a view to increasing capacity, knowledge and access to EU and non-EU programmes, funding instruments and tools. We encourage stakeholders from the outermost regions to seize this opportunity specifically created and tailored to these regions.
