Article 55 of Council Regulation (EC) No 1083/2006 (hereinafter ‘the General Regulation’) sets out how revenues from revenue-generating projects should be taken into account in calculating eligible expenditure, with a view to ensuring sound and efficient use of the EU budget and to avoiding financing more than is necessary in respect of such projects.
