The European Forum for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (EfVET) and the Joint Research Centre (JRC) organised these pilot projects in France, Germany, Hungary and Poland. In addition, the JRC managed one in Romania. In cooperation with the European Training Foundation (ETF), four non-EU countries were included in the pilot phase: Georgia, Montenegro, the Republic of Serbia and Turkey.

The new SELFIE member is expected to be launched in mid-2021.
