The JRC DES Team held a workshop on 7-8 March to discuss the digital transformation of vocational education and training (VET), where participants examined various aspects of this transformation to inform future policies and ensure EU VET systems stay competitive and provide the best training to citizens. This report summarises the key topics and main conclusions discussed throughout the workshop.

The JRC is currently working on the next development phase of DigComp, which entails the development of learning outcomes and incorporation of recent and emerging trends into the framework. The update to the framework is expected towards the end of 2025. On 25 June, the JRC had its first of two DigComp expert review meetings.
On 4 June, the DES team (JRC) presented the work on digital transformation of the VET sector with a special focus on artificial intelligence at the Advisory Committee on Vocational training (ACVT), organised by DG EMPL in Brussels.

Educational projects
SELFIE underwent an accessibility assessment to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines norm making the necessary updates and fixes. The accessibility statement is now accessible in the tool's footer.
With this new feature, everything can be done just by logging in with the SELFIE account. That means that schools don’t need to create an account in the platform Insignias INTEF before requesting the badge.
The Spanish Ministry of Education and VET has elaborated a guide to help schools in the development process of a school action plan, adapted to the specific needs, features and interests of every single school.
