QUASI (Qualitative Analysis of SELFIE) is an ongoing study funded by the Joint Research Center which aims at assessing the impact of SELFIE and understanding in depth how SELFIE is used and perceived by teachers, students and school leaders in 3 different countries in Europe (Spain, Netherlands, and Cyprus) using qualitative methodologies.
Our colleagues from the European Training Foundation (ETF) published an article in which they talk about SELFIE and the inclusion in the digital transition, which means "equipping people, especially those at risk of marginalisation, with the skills, competence and self-belief to participate and assert themselves in the digital world."
On 25, 26 and 27 January, the online conference CompDigEdu took place. It was organised by the Provincial Directorates of Ceuta and Melilla (Spain), together with INTEF (National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training of Spain).
On 22 November, our colleagues from the SELFIE team Lilian Weikert and César Herrero participated in a meeting with members of the Regional Ministry of Education and VET of Cantabria (Spain) to present the tool and the new SELFIE for work-based learning module.
The 1st International Congress on Educational Innovation in Andalusia was held in Malaga (Andalusia, Spain) on 19 and 20 November. The aim of the event was to link, promote and highlight all the innovative actions being developed in Andalusia, as well as to encourage schools and teachers with new initiatives that respond to the challenges raised by today's society with a focus on the future.
The second SELFIE Forum brought together the SELFIE community. We welcomed 700 participants, including school leaders, teachers, students, trainers, national coordinators, policymakers, researchers, practitioners and potential future users. SELFIE is just the beginning of a journey.
Only a month and a half after the success of the second SELFIE Forum, the SELFIE tool reached a new milestone: in November 2021 we celebrated the two million users!
