INTA’s 2023 Annual Meeting Live+ connected the most influential brand professionals from across the globe and industries at the largest gathering of its kind in Singapore. Benoit Tardy, IP Business Advisor at SEA IP SME Helpdesk attended INTA on 18 & 19 May 2023. During these days Benoit attended several conferences and networked with IP professionals, IP Office representatives and other EU funded project colleagues. Participants were from all over the world.

In case you missed the live broadcast last week, our first IP'spresso vodcast is now available on our YouTube channel. This is a new bi-monthly series of training vodcasts, where we have an informal chat with IP experts about different aspects of protecting, enforcing and monetising IP in South-East Asia. In this first episode, produced in association with 4iP Council, we were delighted to be joined by Gitanjali Sharma from 4iP Council, and Wai Yeng Chan, one of our network of external IP experts, to talk about protecting innovations in SEA, and to also discuss World IP Day. The next episode will be broadcast in mid-June, so watch out for the announcement in this newsletter and our social media channels.

The SEA IP SME Helpdesk will be at the Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona to meet SMEs and discuss how to protect their IP when doing business in South-East Asia. Seafood Expo Global is the world’s largest seafood trade event. Attendees come to meet with existing suppliers, source new products and network with other industry professionals. It is the global place where the seafood industry meets.
