SMEunited & the EU LIFE Programme, EASME

Green Perspectives in Food Production

date:  24/03/2021

SMEunited started a cooperation with the EU LIFE Programme* (managed by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME)), in order to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in their sustainable transition. Together they gathered a list of hands-on tips to facilitate the first steps of SMEs in the food sector towards becoming greener.

These tips are included in a new publication ‘Green Perspectives in Food Production’, which was presented at the webinar ‘How to finance the greening of your food chain’ on 24 March 2021.

The objective of the leaflet is to provide inspiration and guidance to SMEs in the food sector on sustainable business, in a simple way. The practical ideas are structured around five topics: waste (including food waste), water, energy, packaging and raw material.
