Dear readers,

Welcome to the November edition of the Hub’s newsletter, bringing you the latest news and resources in food loss and waste prevention.

November was a busy month, with COP 27 taking place in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, where the new ‘123 Pledge’ was launched to accelerate action to reduce food loss and waste worldwide. The Pledge challenges governments, businesses, chefs and other important actors in the food system to commit to concrete steps that will make reducing food loss and waste a part of their action agendas on greenhouse gas emissions. Learn more about the 123 Pledge here.

In other news, join the FOODRUS webinar on 5 December to learn how to monitor and report on food losses and waste; learn more about pre- and after-slaughter losses in Sweden; design an effective consumer information campaign with EUFIC’s toolkit and get involved in WRAP’s annual Food Waste Action Week in 2023.

Happy reading!
