REGIONAL AND URBAN POLICY - Youth4Regions 2020: record number of applications received

A new year, a new record for DG REGIO’s programme for aspiring journalists: 542 applicants sent us their thoughts on an EU-funded project. This represents a 21% increase when compared with the previous edition. The high number confirms an increasing interest for the programme among the target audience and for EU action in the regions.

The jury will now assess the valid applications and select the best 33 from EU Member States, the UK, accession and neighbouring countries. The winners of the Youth4Regions competition will be invited to join the Youth4Regions 2020 programme in Brussels, which will include journalism & regional policy trainings, networking with experienced journalists and the opportunity to work side by side with renowned journalists from around Europe.
