You could apply for participation in a pilot action to receive top class expertise from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and tailored assistance in setting up new initiatives to involve citizens and promote transparency and accountability.

The support will result in concrete set of recommendations on how to improve existing practices and/or on the introduction of new initiatives to be taken by the selected institutions and a jointly elaborated action plan on how to implement them successfully.

The experiences from the pilot project will be disseminated to further promote genuine and meaningful citizen engagement in the management and implementation of cohesion policy investment.

Launching the call, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, said: “Cohesion Policy is on the frontline of the challenges European citizens face today, from climate to innovation, from social inclusion and skills to connectivity. Therefore, it is important for them to have a bigger say in the way this policy delivers. Both public authorities and civil society organisations will reap the benefits of more authentic citizens’ participation.”
