A new call for proposals focusing on the protection of public spaces with focus on places of worship, public spaces, CBRN-E, CUAS, explosives

The Commission has published a new call for proposals for € 14.5 million under the Internal Security Fund-Police to fund projects improving the protection of public spaces in line with the EU Action Plan to support the protection of public spaces.

The Commission has published a new call for proposals for € 14.5 million under the Internal Security Fund-Police to fund projects improving the protection of public spaces in line with the EU Action Plan to support the protection of public spaces.

Project proposals submitted under the call must address at least one of the following priorities:

  1. Enhance the protection of places of worship,
  2. Improve the protection of public spaces, particularly on enhanced public-private cooperation, the development and implementation of good practices at local level and also of those practices listed in the Commission Staff Working Document “Good practices to support the protection of public spaces”
  3. Enhance the protection against and detection of CBRN and explosives threats for different types of public spaces and critical infrastructures
  4. Enhance the protection of Member States’ against the threats posed by non-cooperatives UAS
  5. Enhance the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2019/1148 on the marketing and use of explosives precursors

The following entities can apply as lead applicants or co-applicants:

• public bodies;

• non-profit-making private entities;

• profit-making entities.
