EU LGBTIQ equality strategy for 2026-2030

Discrimination targeting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) people has no place in society, but it is a daily reality for many people in the EU.

The Commission is therefore proposing a new strategy to combat the inequalities experienced by LGBTIQ people. The initiative will build on the 2020-2025 LGBTIQ equality strategy and focus on hate-motivated harassment and violence and on banning conversion practices.

Feedback period: 01 April 2025 - 24 June 2025  (midnight Brussels time)
