Katharina von Schnurbein in visit to Luxembourg

She addressed representatives from politics and civil society at an Executive lunch hosted by the School of Religion and Society (LSRS) and joint Jewish, Muslim and Christian leaders on a panel discussing “Democrats vs Extremists: Defending the European Way of Life' as a keynote speaker”.
Over 200 students from across Luxemburg came to the former European Parliament Plenary to listen to Josef (Isy) Sznajer, a Holocaust Survivor of Warsaw Ghetto who shared his testimony of survival as three-year old boy. The conference “Memories of a survivor” was organised by the Ministry of Justice of Luxembourg as part of the implementation of the national action plan against antisemitism. Ms. von Schnurbein opened the conference.
During her visit, she also held several bilateral meetings with Michel Heinz, National coordinator on combating antisemitism and responsible for implementing the National action plan against antisemitism (PANAS), with Prof. Jean Ehret, Director of LSRS, as well as with the representatives of the European Investment Bank to address the topic 'leading by examble - combating discrimination and antisemitism within its instutions'.
