"Fondazione Sodalitas is convinced that Diversity&Inclusion represent a strategic lever of competitive growth for business and a fundamental factor in the development of society," said President Alberto Pirelli. "It is the full sharing of these values that prompted us in 2009 to conceive and launch the Charter for Equal Opportunity and Equality at Work (Italian Diversity Charter), which our Foundation has been committed to promoting ever since thanks to the valuable alliance with relevant national institutions. Over the years, the Italian Diversity Charter has promoted a corporate culture positively oriented toward reducing inequality and mobilized numerous private and public companies toward the adoption of inclusive corporate policies

On the occasion of the event, Fondazione Sodalitas presented the report "D&I in the workplace: Italian companies good practices," which gives an account of the Diversity&Inclusion good practices of 53 Italian companies associated with the Foundation. These are initiatives that stem from the effective integration of Diversity&Inclusion goals into corporate strategy and offer effective examples of how any company can grow over time through its ability to value all types of diversity, including those of gender, age, disability, ethnicity, religious faith and sexual orientation.
