Diversity Charter Cyprus autumn activities and events

date: 19/12/2022
We kicked off the season with the 3rd edition of the Cyprus Forum, which took place over the last two weeks of September. During the event, the Diversity Charter Cyprus served as proud co-host of the “Intersectionality in the working place” session, and as privileged knowledge partner for the “Diversity & Inclusion by Businesses: The case of LGBTI+ Equity” panel. Our collaboration with the organisers of the Forum was both successful and fruitful and we are already in the process of planning common activities for 2023.
Next up, was the 4th Diversity in Business Conference, which took place on 5th October in Athens. The Diversity Charter Cyprus, together with the Diversity Charters of Greece, Ireland and Lithuania were invited to present our CERV project, DIVERSEurope, which aims to promote DEI policies in SMEs of rural and remote areas.
Later in the same month, the first Cyprus Future of Work Conference took place in Nicosia. The Diversity Charter Cyprus served as Honorary Supporter of the event and participated with a presentation on cognitive bias in the recruitment process and overcoming workplace challenges through DE&I.
At the same time, we were delighted to welcome two new members to our Pancyprian network, with Columbia Shipmanagement and Kyndryl Cyprus becoming our 63rd and 64th signatories, respectively, two companies that are committed to Diversity & Inclusion practices and providing equal opportunities in the workplace. Part of the services we provide to our members is the delivery of workshops and seminars, and we are excited to be presenting a session on Conflict in the Workplace at the Cyprus Institute on 29th November.
Last but not least, we have ambitious plans for our Charter, with a foreseen relaunch in 2023, aiming to enhance both our network, as well as the services we provide to our members. More on this to follow shortly.
