On 7 October 2022,  President Biden signed an Executive Order on ‘Enhancing Safeguards for United States Signals Intelligence Activities'. Along with the Regulations issued by the Attorney General on the same day,  the Executive Order implements into US law the agreement in principle reached between the US Government and the European Commission  on 25 on a new Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework. The European Commission will now prepare a draft adequacy decision and then launch its adoption procedure.
