She signed the Golden Book of the City and met with Sülmez Doğan, Vice-President of the Parliament, as well as Senator for social affairs, Anja Stahmann. She visited the local synagogue and met with representatives of the Jewish community. The visit happened at the invitation of Helga Trüpel, Chair of European Union Bremen.
