In a video message, Commissioner Dalli said (minute 20:20):

"The Holocaust is a European tragedy with ramifications and pain that have since rippled through the decades. Antisemitism did not end when the camps closed. Instead, it is worryingly on the rise with Holocaust denial, distortion and trivialization. Those who seek to stoke the fire are regurgitating old conspiracy theories on online platforms and other fora. We saw this during the pandemic and now we are seeing it during the war in Ukraine."
