He expressed the Commission's commitment to ensure a safe society for all Jews, in Europe and beyond, during his meetings with several Jewish representatives, including President of the World Jewish Congress Amb. Ronald Lauder, President of the European Jewish Congress Dr. Moshe Kantor, CEO of Anti-Defamation League Jonathan Greenblatt, as well as Israeli Minister of Diaspora Nachman Shai. 

Vice-President Schinas also held bilateral meetings with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö and Italian Minister of Education Patrizio Bianchi and met with several leaders during the Malmö Forum hosted by Prime Minister Stefan Löfven.
