Networks of Towns call now open for application!

Are you a local or regional authority representative? Do you work for an association of municipalities and/or regions? Are you a CSO working with the local government? The call Network of Towns is for you!

date:  17/03/2023

The Networks of Towns call give towns and municipalities the possibility to deepen and intensify their cooperation and debate, develop sustainable networks and outline their long-term vision for the future of European integration. To this respect, the call promotes exchanges among citizens from different European countries to experience the wealth and diversity of the common heritage of the European Union and to make them aware that these constitute the foundation for a common future.

The call supports key policy priorities relevant to the CERV Programme and at EU level, namely the  ‘European democracy action plan’, ‘EU Roma strategic framework on equality, inclusion and participation’, ‘EU anti-racism action plan’’, ‘LGBTIQ Equality Strategy’, ‘EU Citizenship Reports’, and it sets out some priorities that should be taken into account by applicants.

The policy priorities are the following:

  • EU citizenship rights, the associated European common values and common democratic standards
  • the 30th anniversary of the entry into force of the Maastricht Treaty (1 November 2023)
  • diversity, gender equality as well as effective measures on how to tackle discrimination and racism at local level
  • climate and environment, including energy-related issues at local level
  • any impact of the COVID-19 pandemic at local level
  • the New European Bauhaus initiative.
