The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
The REMO team will participate to the event and has proposed three special sessions on the following themes with the intention of bringing together researchers, policy makers and other stakeholders to discuss policy-relevant issues for the European Union:
- Territorial analysis of labour markets, social inclusion and human capital policy;
- Fiscal decentralisation, transparency, and involving citizens in decision-making;
- The regional dimension of the global production chains in the EU market.
