A workshop on regional convergence and European integration took place at the Real Instituto Elcano in Madrid (Spain) in October.

The Regional Economic Modelling (REMO) team and the Real Instituto Elcano organised a half day workshop in Madrid with participants such as Joaquín Almunia (former vice-President of the European Commission), Luís Martí (former vice-President of the European Investment Bank), and Rafael Domenech (BBVA Research).

It has been an occasion to showcase the recent activity of the REMO team and to present the RHOMOLO model. The meeting has been fruitful and all the participants demonstrated great interest in the use of RHOMOLO and in its relevance for the policy making process at the EU level.
