María Suárez Moreno

Born in Spain, I graduated in Environmental Sciences with a strong interest in soil sciences and agriculture, which led me to complete an MSc in Agricultural Chemistry at the Autonomous University of Madrid. After moving to the UK in 2017, I decided to specialise in geospatial analysis and digital agriculture with an MSc in GIS and Environmental Management, provided by the University of Brighton. Since then my experience has been developed abroad, both in academia and the private sector, to help adopt sustainable practices concerning environmental and agricultural matters in the UK, India and Pakistan. Professionally focused on data science and earth observation, I have recently joined the Wildfires team at the Disaster Risk Management Unit where I will be working as a Data Scientist.
