This initiative (supported by the Commission’s Service for Foreign Policy Instruments or FPI, through their project EU - Latin America and the Caribbean Policy Dialogue Support Facility/ EU-LAC PDSF) will be implemented in collaboration with the EU Delegations in Latin America and the Caribbean and relevant organizations such as the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and others. This will be one of the first steps of the EU in supporting relevant initiatives in the region under the EU Green Deal strategy, such as the Team Europe Initiative on the Amazon.
