Dear Colleagues, this is the last JRC-IRMM newsletter of 2014. I hope you enjoyed all 10 issues of 2014 and will enjoy reading this one as well. 2014 has been a successful year with many changes in the European Commission, but also working style within the JRC. The JRC-IRMM has continued to support policy DGs and Member States in a broad area, especially related to measurements and standards. Our new slogan "Measurements matter" and its relation to our work is now known by a broad community. Thanks to all of you for your great contribution – it is your work that is reflected mainly in our newsletters and news entries on our intranet. A significant number has made it also towards publication on the JRC Science Hub. I am looking forward to a continued output and impact of our work in 2015. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2015.
