The Catalogue of Services action has explored how public administrations can use new technologies together with structured data thanks to a common metadata model, like the Core Public Service Vocabulary Application Profile (CPSV-AP). A common metadata model enables public administrations to describe their data on public services in a harmonised way. The harmonisation is key as it creates an environment where public service information can flow from one organisation to another. This helps administrations develop national and cross-border catalogues of services and applications using new technologies on top.
