VocBench 3 is a free web-based platform facilitating collaborative editing and management of authority lists, taxonomies, thesauri and ontologies. It is designed to meet the needs of the semantic web and made available as an open-source solution. A new version (4.0) of the platform has been recently released.

The ISA² Programme is organising a kick-off workshop on the ISA² Interim Evaluation. The aim is to present the rationale, objectives and scope of the interim evaluation study and to discuss the role that stakeholders can play in contributing to the study and improving the overall quality of the programme.

Almost one hundred people from joined our first workshop ever at the EURegionsWeek. The ISA² presence there was complemented with 4 presentations in the agora covering topics like the implementation of the EIF and its monitoring through NIFO, Sharing and Reuse of IT solutions and Joinup.
Between 29 June 2018 and 21 September 2018, the European Commission conducted a public consultation on a new online platform for public access to Commission documents. 576 respondents in total took part in the consultation, 27 % of whom stated that they had already introduced a request for access to documents.
On 28 September, ISA² held a workshop gathering National Interoperability Framework Observatory Contact Points to discuss the new monitoring mechanism of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF). The new monitoring mechanism aims at measuring the level of implementation of the EIF recommendations and principles.
Archival institutions worldwide are constantly searching for IT solutions to support their business activities. A new report provides an up-to-date overview of the current landscape of existing IT solutions complemented with an assessment tool that supports decision-making.
The Single Digital Gateway Regulation was adopted on 3 October. As of end of 2020, the gateway will become the online access point for citizens and businesses in need of information to get active in any EU country. The ISA² Programme supports the development of an architecture and specific IT tools for the gateway.
The ISA² Interoperability Test Bed, a web-based platform that provides a conformance testing solution to projects developing cross-border public services, has published new documentation and training materials.
The new version 4.0 of CIRCABC has arrived! It comes up with a new user interface, features and improvements to make the application more user-friendly. CIRCABC is a multilingual, web-based application which enables geographically spread collaborative groups to share information and resources in private workspaces.
Miguel A. Amutio is Deputy Head of Unit of Coordination of ICT Units at Spain's Secretariat General for Digital Administration. He coordinates the development of the National Security Framework and of the National Interoperability Framework of Spain and their Technical Regulations, together with the supporting documents. The new European Interoperability Framework (EIF) is a key instrument for establishing interoperable digital public services at all levels of public administration. However, implementing the EIF's principles can be a very complex issue, especially on the local government level. In Hungary’s experience this can be most easily tackled by the establishment of a central solution.
