European Commission reinforces cooperation with Uruguay on interoperability

The European Commission's Directorate-General for Informatics (DIGIT) has started closer cooperation with Uruguay's Agency for Electronic Government and Information and Knowledge Society (AGESIC). DIGIT and AGESIC agreed to cooperate in IT, open platforms, standards and methods where these concern interoperability solutions and common frameworks for public administrations.

 
DIGITEC 2016 as it happened

On 29 November DIGITEC 2016: Digital Future attracted more than 850 attendees from the EU institutions for a day of inspiring discussions. 36 speakers debated on the workplace of the future, digital democracy and technologies of the future.

 
European Interoperability Framework: Results from Open Consultation

The European Commission has published the results of the open public consultation on the revision of the European Interoperability Framework. Respondents from 27 countries sent a total of 179 contributions. The Commission will further analyse the results and take them into account when determining the type of instrument to propose.

 
First work programme under ISA² adopted

The EUR 131 million programme, which runs from 2016 to 2020, supports the development of interoperability solutions for the modernisation of public administrations across Europe.

 
CEF Digital Portal is launched

The Portal will be the central online hub for information and tools related to the CEF building blocks and provide information on the Sector Specific Digital Service Infrastructures (DSI).

 
20 eGovernment solutions – free of charge

The ISA programme of the European Commission has recently published 20 eGovernment solutions for public administrations. Most of the them are available free of charge, and many of them are open source.
