Nature Day Comes to Brussels Climate Week
Date: 08/09/2026
On October 14, Nature Day will take place as part of Brussels Climate Week (12-16 October), bringing together policymakers, businesses, researchers and civil society representatives to exchange perspectives on some of the most pressing nature-related challenges and opportunities facing Europe.
The programme will explore a range of topics relevant to the EU Business & Biodiversity Platform community, including biodiversity and nature restoration, nature-based and circular solutions, nature finance, agriculture and food systems, and ocean health. Discussions will feature representatives from European institutions, businesses, NGOs and international organisations, among others.
A member of the EU Business & Biodiversity Platform will also be present and will speak on the interactive panel discussion on Biodiversity and Nature Restoration (10:15–10:45am), alongside Member of the European Parliament Jutta Paulus and Ion Codescu, Acting Director, Biodiversity and Head of Unit, Land Use & Management, DG ENV. Bringing a finance perspective to the panel, the Platform member will complement the policy, NGO and Commission viewpoints by addressing a practical question: how do we turn ambitious biodiversity and restoration objectives into investable, long-term projects at scale? Don't miss it if you're attending Nature Day!
