Date: 08/09/2026
The Fit for Biodiversity – Solutions for the Agri-Food Sector conference will take place on 6-7 October 2026 in Brussels, bringing together leading perspectives from across the agri-food sector to address current biodiversity challenges and opportunities. The event aims to connect established practices, emerging approaches and evolving policy developments to support informed biodiversity action across value chains.
Key topics will include biodiversity assessment approaches and tools, biodiversity-friendly agriculture, biodiversity credits, nature-related financial risks, incentive models for biodiversity action, and effective biodiversity communication. Sessions will feature expert speakers and interactive discussions designed to help organisations navigate biodiversity management in the agri-food sector.
The programme includes dedicated sessions on biodiversity assessment, enabling biodiversity action, financing restoration through nature credits, and biodiversity communication, as well as networking opportunities throughout the two-day event.
The conference will also feature the presentation of a new Insights Paper developed by Arcadis, lead of the EU Business & Biodiversity Platform's Methods Workstream. The paper, which will be released in September, explores key biodiversity challenges and opportunities for business and will be presented during the plenary session from 14:00-15:20 CEST on 6 October.
