Three new resources from the Finance and Biodiversity Community

A new guidance document and two updated overviews on initiatives and collaborative engagements from the EU B&B Platform's Workstream Finance provide practical tools to help financial institutions and businesses advance nature-positive action.

The EU B&B Platform and its partners have recently published a new guidance document and two updated overviews supporting action at the intersection of biodiversity and finance.

The new Guidance on Nature at Business Parks, developed with members of the Finance & Biodiversity Community and other partners, offers a practical five-step approach and recommendations for developing an action plan for biodiversity at business parks. The guidance includes examples of restoration measures and financing options, making it a timely resource for organisations preparing for new EU opportunities in line with the Nature Restoration Regulation and emerging National Restoration Plans.

The eighth update of the Overview of Initiatives for Financial Institutions, developed in collaboration with the Finance for Biodiversity (FfB) Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme – Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) and Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), provides an updated overview of 20 biodiversity and finance initiatives. The resource helps financial institutions identify relevant networks and collaborative initiatives, covering topics such as ESG integration, target setting, reporting and disclosure, positive impact and public policy advocacy.

The fifth update of the Collaborative Engagements Overview, published jointly with the FfB Foundation, highlights 46 collective biodiversity engagements and joint investor letters, including 19 ongoing initiatives. The overview is designed to help financial institutions navigate opportunities for collaborative engagement with companies and stay informed about emerging developments in biodiversity stewardship.
