With this webinar, we aim to increase awareness and promote confidence in utilising intellectual property (IP) within the framework of Open Science, emphasising that there is no inherent conflict between the two. The session will explore the concept of "openness" in its various interpretations and illustrate how the IP system aligns with the fundamental principles of Open Science. Furthermore, the webinar will provide examples showcasing how the sharing of IP, data, and publications can be as open as possible while maintaining the option for closure when necessary.
