IP for Innovation – Industrial Property Protection as a Driver of Innovation

The first European law on industrial property, the so-called 'Patent Statute', was approved in Venice in 1474 and will turn 550 years on 19 March 2024. On 13 March, the celebrations for 'Venezia Brevetti 550' will commence in the presence of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy. An international roundtable of IP experts will talk about this important development in the history of intellectual property (IP) rights, which paved the way for modern patent laws that protect inventors and encourage innovation.
