The 15th Anniversary of the Treaty of Lisbon is coming up on 1 December.

The Treaty introduced a right to “citizens’ initiative” in 2009, paving a way for the ECI to be born (it became operational in April 2012). Since the ECI started, more than 20 million signatures have been collected in support of more than 100 citizens’ initiatives.
