On 15 September, the International Day of Democracy, the EESC’s Group on the European Citizens’ Initiative, supported by local partners, debated the ECI's progress with local stakeholders in Sofia. They shared their experiences and ideas on raising awareness of the tool. The debate follows a first EESC event in Zagreb (Croatia) in 2024, continuing the conversation on citizen participation beyond Brussels.
