On 28 September, the Commission registered the 8th European citizens’ initiative in 2022. The ‘Focus on Specific Learning Disabilities on EU Level’ initiative requests the Commission to facilitate access to education of people with specific learning disabilities (i.e. dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia). Organisers call on the Commission to present a proposal for common guidelines on how to detect and address learning disabilities, and to ensure a better integration of people with such disabilities within the educational system.
