Under the Erasmus+ Key Action 2, the EU is encouraging the emergence of 20 ‘European Universities’ by 2024. They will consist of bottom-up networks of universities across the EU that will enable students to obtain a degree by combining studies in several EU countries, in turn contributing to the international competitiveness of European universities.
