Horizon 2020 - the EU funding programme for research and innovation supports cultural heritage

Cultural Heritage research and innovation funding: The European Union’s Research Framework Programmes have been supporting research on cultural heritage since 1986 in areas such as conservation, disaster resilience and energy efficiency in historic buildings, the arts, humanities and even underwater cultural heritage.
The 2018-2020 Horizon 2020 work programme will offer €100 million of funding for cultural heritage projects.
New calls, relevant for the cultural heritage research communities, were launched in November 2017:
- Demonstrating systemic urban development for circular and regenerative cities
Deadline: 27 February 2018 - Curation of digital assets and advanced digitisation
Deadline: 13 March 2018 - Resilience and sustainable reconstruction of historic areas to cope with climate change and hazard
Deadline: 27 February 2018 - Innovative and affordable solutions for the preventive conservation of cultural heritage
Deadline: 23 January 2018 - International network to promote cultural heritage innovation and diplomacy
Deadline: 27 February 2018 - Social platform on endangered cultural heritage and on illicit trafficking of cultural goods
Deadline: 13 March 2018 - Curation of digital assets and advanced digitisation
