This package is aligned with the political agreement on the EU AI Act, and pushes forward for the establishment of an AI Office within the Commission, as well as contains an EU AI Start-Up and Innovation Communication to promote additional key activities. The latter will focus on communicating important information on initiatives like the "Gen AI4EU", on financial support (that is available through Horizon Europe and the Digital Europe programme for generative AI), among other topics. You can read more about it here.

In the coming months, the European Parliament and the Council of the EU will analyse the Commission's proposed amendments on the Regulation establishing the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking.
