Did you know mobile blockchain ticketing is starting to be used for events?

The event industry has been trying to overcome serious obstacles such as fake tickets, ticket scalpers and bots, to ensure data safety and security during different types of ticketing operations. However, it has been a tough fight. Industry leaders are starting to look at blockchain as a way to finally be able to win the war against scammers!

By using blockchain for ticket issuing it creates an identity for each ticket. This way, if a consumer wants to resell or transfer a ticket they purchased, they will need to do it through the blockchain, which will allow to prove the ticket's veracity to a buyer. It makes it considerably harder for scams to continue profiting from selling of fake tickets because if a procedural protocol is not followed, buyers will automatically raise concerns and not fall for scams. Another application of using blockchain for issuing tickets is to improve events' security. During and after the COVID pandemic the vaccine passes were mandatory in many countries for the spectators and guests to enter a range of different events and spaces. However, vaccine passes are not the only documents that event organisers might need to verify. Blockchain can help secure this type of check and also ensure the validity of the documentation needed. By making it harder to fake but easy to verify documents, verification process becomes quicker and more reliable. This contributes to the security of events on multiple levels, making the process smoother and easier not only for venues but also for spectators.
