The European Commission organized the inaugural high-level meeting of the Joint European Forum for Important Projects of Common European Interest (JEF-IPCEI) The forum brings together experts from Member States, EFTA states and the Commission services and aims to increase the effectiveness of IPCEIs and to identify relevant strategic technologies or infrastructures for potential future IPCEIs. Discussions at the meeting led to the establishment of a comprehensive work plan for 2024, with a focus on achieving tangible outcomes by year-end. Notably, participants explored the identification of new potential candidate technologies or infrastructures for future IPCEIs.
