C-10/18 P - Marine Harvest v Commission

The European Commission welcomes today's judgment by the Court of Justice (ECJ) dismissing Marine Harvest’s appeal against a General Court (GC) judgment of 2017. The judgment confirms the Commission's assessment to fine Marine Harvest EUR 20 million for taking control of Morpol before the Commission had approved the concentration under the EU Merger Regulation.

Today’s judgment confirms the objective of the Commission to safeguard and ensure the respect of the Commission’s procedural framework and the effectiveness of EU merger review.
