With a code base that almost doubled in size, this release is twice as configurable, brings new authentication options and plenty of new features. Domibus 5.0, the sample implementation of an eDelivery Access Point maintained by the EU, was released. In addition to new features, Domibus 5.0 comes with unprecedented performance improvements that allow it to reliably handle more than 1000 messages/s. eDelivery was proposed as the most suitable solution for data exchange in the Once-Only Technical System (OOTS). eDelivery will be used in OOTS as the underlying technology for public authorities across the EU to securely exchange evidence required in various administrative procedures.
On 22 June 2022, EU countries voted in favour to create a data space between EU public administrations. With its rollout in every Member State by the end of 2023, the Once Only Technical System (OOTS) - composed of EU-wide building blocks such as eID and eDelivery - may become a template for other data spaces in different sectors.

Domibus 4.2.10, the sample implementation of an eDelivery Access Point maintained by the EU, was released. As usual, users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to the latest patch of the version they are using. Further 4.2 patches will be released until 7 December 2022. The eDelivery PKI service is currently being migrated from its incumbent certification authority to CommisSign-2, the certification authority of the European Commission. The PKI domain owners are requested to sign the updated General Terms and Conditions document to ensure an uninterrupted provision of eDelivery PKI service to their users.
The European Commission provides the eDelivery Conformance Testing service to verify conformance of implementations of the eDelivery AS4 and SMP specifications to the relevant specifications. As of today, 30 solutions were recognised conformant according to the eDelivery AS4 profile, and ten according to the eDelivery SMP one.
Secure digital data exchange is becoming ever easier thanks to the constant upgrade of the eDelivery service provision. eDelivery’s roadmap for 2022-2023 includes several major updates that keep abreast of the latest technology trends: new versions of SML, Domibus and SMP are scheduled for Q4 2022, Q1 2023 and Q2 2023, respectively.
