ISA² - Interoperability solutions for public administrations, businesses and citizens

Shaping the future interoperability policy: share your views!

The European Commission is currently evaluating the ISA² programme and the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) to present a reinforced public sector interoperability policy in 2021. Take part in the public consultation to help us shape the future policy! The consultation is open until 26 April 2021.

What is the consultation about?
This consultation aims to gather stakeholders’ views on the EU initiatives around public sector interoperability. The information collected will feed into the evaluation of the EIF, the final evaluation of the ISA2 programme and an impact assessment on the future interoperability policy.

The Commission has proposed to put forward by 2021 ‘a reinforced EU governments’ interoperability strategy to ensure coordination and common standards for secure and borderless public sector data flows and services’. This initiative will be accompanied by a study assessing the problems experienced by EU stakeholders and the impacts of various policy options for addressing them.

How will your contribution help us?
The evaluation of the EIF fulfils the commitment in Section 6 of the EIF Communication. The findings will contribute to the impact assessment and help evaluate whether the EIF recommendations should be part of a mandatory instrument.

This consultation also gives the opportunity to gather stakeholders’ views on the achievements of the ISA2 programme. The information collected will contribute to the final evaluation of ISA2, which is running in parallel with the evaluation of the EIF and the impact assessment on a future interoperability strategy.
