17 IT solutions shortlisted for the Sharing and Reuse Awards

We are pleased to announce the first results of the Sharing and Reuse Awards contest organised by the European Commission. In total, 118 applications were received, out of which 96 fulfilled the eligibility criteria. The Evaluation Committee (consisting of 4 subcommittees) shortlisted 17 best solutions from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Finland, France, Spain, and the Netherlands in 4 categories. 

The accepted applications were evaluated on the solution design, governance, impact/result, extent of reuse, and sustainability.

The accepted applications were evaluated on the solution design, governance, impact/result, extent of reuse, and sustainability. The public announcement of the winners will take place during the Awards Ceremony at the Sharing & Reuse Conference on 29 March in Lisbon, Portugal.

The first and second prize of €15 000 and €10 000 respectively will be awarded to the winning teams in each category. Solutions in third and fourth places will receive a certificate of excellence. All the public administrations whose solutions are shortlisted will be given an opportunity to present them at the conference, so if you wish to learn more about the shortlisted solutions directly from their owners and users, you can meet them in person at the conference! Registrations are open until 22 March.

The Sharing and Reuse Awards Contest was launched under the ISA² Programme of the European Commission in July 2016 with the aim to raise awareness of the benefits of sharing and reuse of IT solutions in the public sector.

ISA² is a EUR 131 million programme managed by the European Commission supporting the modernisation of public administrations in Europe through the development of eGovernment solutions. So far, more than 20 solutions are available, open-source and cost-free, with more to come soon.
