ISA² - Interoperability solutions for public administrations, businesses and citizens

SCOOP4C's 3rd workshop

SCOOP4C

SCOOP4C's 3rd workshop: We will present first results of the once-only projects and discuss the future of cross-border public service provision in the EU.

The once-only principle (OOP) aims at collecting information from citizens and businesses only once and sharing this information among different government institutions to avoid duplication in the future. However, the implementation of the once-only principle in public service provisioning is a long journey. It requires governments to put in place a number of enablers and to eliminate barriers that hamper data sharing and reuse among government agencies, while at the same time respecting fully the privacy and data protection regulations.

Along the stakeholder workshop, we will discuss how to reduce the administrative burden for citizens and how to implement OOP. How can we break down the existing legislative, organisational and technological barrier which hinder citizens, public administrations, and businesses from fully benefitting from OOP implementations, in particular in cross-border public services? These, among many more, will be the questions we will discuss.
