EU DataViz webinar: Unlocking your data and insight through visualisation

Around 10 years ago the Office for National Statistics (ONS) stopped the last of its paper publications and journals. This was just the start of its journey to becoming an online-first organisation.

This session will cover the journey the team has been on to date:

  • Building a team - the skills they have in the team, how they have grown them and how they work within the organisation.
  • Their approach to serving different users, and their strategies for reaching them.
  • The range of work covered by the team and some of their biggest successes and mistakes.

Finally the session will cover some thoughts on their direction for the future, with big projects like the results of the 2021 Census on the horizon and a move to make greater use of detailed administrative data.
